Week ending 15th November
This week the children have continued their learning about 'Journeys'. Outside we have had a train station set up and the children have explored different ways to 'travel' around the outside area. They have been being aeroplanes, buses and trains.
We also had our special dance class all about Diwali. we learnt about the story of Sita and Rama and the actions to go along with it. The children really enjoyed this activity.
In Forest School this week we got to have lots of fun with leaves. We played a parachute game with them all resting on top and then shook the sheet to make them all fly and jump in the air!
Week ending 8th November
We hope you all had a lovely half term break, the children have all settled in well again after the break. This week we have been learning about journeys. We have talked about the way we travel to school and holidays we might have been on. It has been an exciting week as we had Guy Fawkes Night on the 5th so the children have been talking lots about fireworks, painting pictures of them, colouring in rocket pictures and mark making in the dry oats and glitter. The children were able to tell us lots about the noises the fireworks make and the colours they could see! We have also talked about Diwali and shared a story. Next week we have a dance class coming to teach us a special dance to celebrate Diwali!
