Summer 1

Week beginning 19th May 2025- week 5

This week marked the end of the Summer 1 term, and the children have had a busy and exciting time filled with learning and adventure.

In English, the children completed their work based on the story Little Timmy. They demonstrated creativity and independence by finishing their hot writes, showcasing the innovative changes they made to the original story. In Maths, we began exploring the topic of fractions, with a focus on finding halves and quarters. The children approached this new concept with enthusiasm and curiosity.

During PSHE, the children developed a deeper understanding of how drugs and medicines can affect our bodies in different ways. They also learned practical strategies for staying safe and making informed choices.

The highlight of the week was, without a doubt, our trip to BeWILDerwood. The children showed incredible bravery as they climbed towering structures and zoomed down huge slides. They enjoyed a lovely outdoor picnic and ended the day with a peaceful and scenic boat ride—a perfect way to round off an eventful term.

We are so proud of all their achievements this half term and look forward to more exciting learning ahead!
